Concept

Also known as "POWER CHOCK®" literally means "chock strength". The POWERCHOCK® is a wheel locking system, composed of a steel chock and a retaining plate fixed to the ground, which retains all types of vehicles at the loading docks by blocking a rear wheel.
To know all the advantages and benefits of the POWERCHOCK® system, please check the "YOUR WARRANTY & BENEFITS" page. Details on existing models are available on the POWERCHOCK® 3 and POWERCHOCK® 5 product pages.
The POWERCHOCK® line of products offers different models to meet the needs, expectations and constraints of our customers. This comparison chart provides a good overview of the characteristics of each of these systems, but our team is of course at your disposal to answer your questions.
Yes, we have designed effective restraint devices to secure all vehicles arriving at the transshipment docks to perform loading and unloading operations: - Semi-trailers - Trucks - Swap bodies
A locking arm (or blocking arm) is a ground system equipped with a metal bar which deploys sideways to be placed in front of the rear wheel of the truck which has just docked at the loading dock. The holding force of some commercially available locking arms is approximately 14 tons. The hook system hooks the impact bar, also called underrun bar, ICC1 or RIG2 bar, to the rear of the truck. By gripping this bar, this device aims to retain the semi-trailer. The problem arises when the vehicle is not or no longer equipped with an ICC bar, or when it is in poor condition - which is the case for one in four vehicles. In addition, the hook itself can damage the underrun bar (or guard). Finally, the holding force of some models of hooks for sale is about 15 tons. As the name suggests, the POWERCHOCK® wheel blocker is a frontal securing system with a galvanized steel chock placed in front of one of the rear wheels of the truck - and simultaneously on the plate fixed to the ground - to block the wheel in question and therefore the vehicle in the event of an untimely or unexpected departure. The holding force of the POWERCHOCK® blocking solution is 25 tons.

Usage

Yes, the system is designed for quick and easy installation. Even a driver who is discovering our wheel locking system for the first time will know - intuitively - how to place the chock on the plate on the ground and in front of a rear wheel of the vehicle. For all our solutions, the installation of the wedge by the driver and the arming of the system are carried out in less than 30 seconds.
Our solutions work even in winter conditions as we offer a ground plate specially designed to withstand snow removal operations and snow plows; this is our 3D plate.
We support our clients in the search for solutions adapted to their reality while being efficient on both operational and financial levels. The installation of the chock being fast, our system does not cause any downtime or any hindrance in the flow of loading or unloading operations. And in the event that a system should not be operational, this will in no way hinder access to the dock.

Installation

Yes, our system and in particular our retaining plate can be fixed on any type of floor covering: asphalt, concrete or even paving stones.
Absolutely!
The installation of our systems does not require civil engineering work. In addition, it can of course be done with new buildings as well as old ones.

Care & Maintenance

There is no maintenance obligation.
However, since POWERCHOCK® systems are solutions linked to the safety of people and property, we recommend that you have the systems visually inspected by your own teams or your service provider of choice. It is important to note that all our systems are equipped with a self-diagnosis mode which validates the correct operation of the sensors in real time.
The annual maintenance cost is minimal and is estimated at ... Thanks to our unique positioning and our 5-year warranty, our systems can be considered as a real investment: no maintenance costs, durability and robustness of the product.
